This is what I do with it:
- Email - I send and
received emails on my mobile. Emails sent as URGENT, I will receive a sms
telling I have an urgent email !!
- CNN - I watch/listen to
CNN news when i'm on the go... I really watch local news
- MP3 player - around 1gig
worth of music! that's more then 10 full length albums! Plus the E1000
has great external speakers - loud stereo!
- Digital Camera - All the
photos (except for one) in my photo gallery was taken by my E1000.
- Games/Utils - Play java
games... I've got a financial organizer, but stopped using it.
Other pluses:
- Built tough - This
phone takes the brutal nocks.
- Looks masculine - Not a
girlie flip phone!!!
The E1000 will play video's either in 3GP or MP4 format. The majority
of peaple prefer MP4 as the quality is considered better. However,
whatever format the video/clip is, the screen size should be set at
320x240
You are able to download movies and tv shows from many sites, a good
place to start is http://www.rstanner.com/tracker/.
However, you may wish to transcode your own movies, clips in order to
transfer to your phone. So far, I have found PVAuthor to be the easiest
to use.
Whatever program you decide, I have found the below settings work well:
176x144 resolution
Viewing size : 320x240
Video Bitrate : around 150,000kbps
Audio : aac compression, 32kbps
Framrate : 25
You should find thatusing these settings you will get apporx 1 minute
of viedeo per 1mb in size. So, in theory, you can store approx 256mins
of video on a 256mb transflash card - easily enough for a few episodes
of your favourite progs!
Three have a great deal
on this phone!
